Egypt and Norway enjoy excellent bilateral relations. There is a continuous exchange of views between our two countries on various bilateral, regional and international issues. In this regard, we deeply value the important Norwegian contribution to the Middle East Peace Process, and we believe that our continuous consultations over the issue are an essential asset in moving the process forward. During my post, I am dedicated to further strengthening our already strong relations, to promoting mutual understanding between our two peoples, and to assist where I can in the enhancement of mutual interests. I am keen on boosting the level of Norwegian investments in the Egyptian market, which is currently witnessing a remarkable expansion following the recent economic reforms undertaken by the Government. In addition, the number of tourists from Scandinavia in Egypt is growing, something I would like to see cultivate even further in the coming period.
